E. Discussion Questions: Have you ever had to move or go someplace where you
didn't know anyone? What is the best/worst thing about moving? How do you
make new friends? Why did Alexander decide to move?
F. Game: "I'm moving and I'm going to take..." Each person repeats everything
said before him/her and adds item containing their sound. If they can't
remember, they're out - last one in is the winner.
G. Bulletin Board: Heading - "Moving On With Good Speech" - underneath, four
moving vans, each labeled: Articulation, Voice, Fluency, Language
H. Written Language: "I would like to move because..." Have students
brainstorm sentences. Put each on strip of paper. Strips can be moved and
arranged to make paragraphs. Edit.
I. Antonyms: Reread pages using antonyms to see if it makes sense or if its
silly and how it changes the story
